Dear Colleagues,
As part of an effort to maximize the use of a newly developing UCI Rodent Behavioral Neuroscience Testing Core, we have organized a questionnaire to gather UCI faculty opinions in the use of the allocated space and equipment.
Background on the UCI BTC: Our mission is to develop a shared UCI Behavioral Neuroscience Testing Core. Over $1M worth of behavioral neuroscience equipment has been purchased and delivered to UCI and committed by the purchasers, two faculty members: Shahrdad Lotfipour (SOM), Director of the Behavioral Testing Core/Translational Addiction Laboratory and Michael Yassa (BioSci), Director of the Center for Neurobiology of Learning and Memory/UCI Brain. The equipment includes the computers and software needed to run the behavioral equipment.
The UCI BTC and the equipment acquired provide an opportunity for sophisticated testing of various aspects of rodent behavior that are instrumental for neuroscience faculty at UCI. In regards to the space, funded through a $1.667M major capitalization grant from the UCI Office of Research, our facility is located at the Biological Sciences III Building Shell Space, Laboratory 510.
The UCI BTC questionnaire should take about 5-10 minutes to complete.
